I just changed the opacity to transparent for the main body, which worked great, but I don't see an item to also change it for the sidebar at the right. This has the effect of making it look a tad...muddy on the side. Is there a way to change it quickly and easily?

Thanks!!

Jason,  are you trying to change it just on the right column or the inset as well? Let me know and I can write up a hack for you. It won't be hard to integrate.

both. The main body is easily changed with editing the HTML thanks to the cool setup you did in the theme itself, but for some reason the bar gets overlooked Smiley

Jason,

You'll need to edit 2 files for this. The first is ie6.css found in the css folder. Find the lines below and delete them, then save the file:

* html #s5_column {
     background-image: none;                             /* IE only */
     background-color: #FFFFFF;                          /* IE only */
     filter:alpha(opacity=10);                           /* IE only */
}

* html #s5_inset {
     background-image: none;                             /* IE only */
     background-color: #FFFFFF;                          /* IE only */
     filter:alpha(opacity=10);                           /* IE only */
}

and then in template_css.css find:

#s5_column {
     background-image: url('../images/s5_opac20.png') !important;  /* Mozilla only */
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
     font-family: Arial;
}

and replace with:

#s5_column {
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
     font-family: Arial;
}

then find:

#s5_inset {
     float: right;
     width: 200px;
     background-image: url('../images/s5_opac20.png') !important;  /* Mozilla only */
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
}

and replace with:

#s5_inset {
     float: right;
     width: 200px;
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
}

If you want to do the banner position as well, since it's the same setup in template_css.css find:

#s5_banner {
     background-image: url('../images/s5_opac20.png') !important;  /* Mozilla only */
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
     margin-bottom: 10px;
}

and replace with:

#s5_banner {
     background-color: transparent !important;           /* Mozilla only */
     margin-bottom: 10px;
}

and then in the ie6.css file remove:

* html #s5_banner {
     background-image: none;                             /* IE only */
     background-color: #FFFFFF;                          /* IE only */
     filter:alpha(opacity=10);                           /* IE only */
}

That's it! Really you're just removing the backgrounds from those divs. If IE6 didn't exist it'd be half the work!  Smiley

We didn't build this into the template because it was setup so that the opacities would changed through the module styles; never thought about no background at all.

Hope this helps Jason and anyone else interested in the same thing!

Regards,
