Hi

I have just installed the Paradigm Shift Siteshaper to http://www.ivadebt.me.uk/

Everything appeared OK and the home page loads, but all links (old and new) seem to just produce 404 errors: i.e. http://www.ivadebt.me.uk/features/theme-features/tooltips-enabled

I created a new page: http://www.ivadebt.me.uk/iva_debt_consolidation.php and this also doesn't work.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Many thanks.

You need to reset your permalinks settings.  You should be able to just hit "Save" on the "Settings -> Permalinks" page in the admin; WP has to generate a fresh .htaccess file for your server.

Hi Tristan

Many thanks for the reply. That did the trick for the existing siteshaper pages. I just need to check the new pages as they still aren't working but I think it is to do with where I publish them to.

Kind regards,
Richard

Hi Tristan

As mentioned the siteshaper pages are displaying correctly (apart from ALL links in Quick Menu, Support Menu. Who We Are and Common Links which don't work at all) but new pages are just giving errors.

http://www.ivadebt.me.uk/iva_debt_consolidation.php

Displays:

Can you advise what I may be doing wrong?

Many thanks.

1.  Why does your URL have ".php" in it?

You should recheck your actual page URL; the only time you should see ".php" in the URL is if you have SEO permalinks disabled, and in that situation, it will always be "index.php?page_id=" or something similar with "index.php" in it.

2.  The sample menus at the bottom of the Shaper/Demo have "dummy" items with no destination; you should remove the sample menus from the demo content and re-create new menus with your own items.
