Warning
JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file

Can you tell me how to fix?
Thank you,

Hello,

I've tested that file and it is loading with no issues from here. I would suggest redownloading it and make sure the file you are uploading is called Shape5_Traction_template_current.zip. It should be installed via the extensions manager in the backend of Joomla. If that still does not work please try another browser.

Hi-
I re-downloaded the Traction file [good per your instruction], then tried to upload it again with Firefox.... no good, same warning. Then I tried it with Safari platform, and still same error message saying "JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file"

Where is this file and if you can send me link to one, where shall it be copied into? I am trying to build this site on desktop with a Mac using MAMP

Thanks,
~ Lc

Hello,

It will be a problem with your local installation then, perhaps a permissions problem. I am not able to replicate this problem, and we have no other reports of it. I don't know what you mean by where is the file. The xml file? That's referring to the templatedetails.xml file, which is in the root of the zip file. Using the extensions manager in Joomla is the only way to install a template in Joomla.
