Hi there

Tried now several times but it is not possible to update a fresh installed tractor w/ j3.0.3 to 3.1.1. Every time I get an error, the new tag component isnt installed. If I use the database-fix-function and discover for the missing files (and install them), it seems ok, but the frontend strikes with an error.

Error by installing 3.1.1 (direct writing):

Unknown column 'path' in 'field list' SQL=-- -- Dumping data for table `ecx_tags` -- INSERT INTO `ecx_tags` (`id`, `parent_id`, `lft`, `rgt`, `level`, `path`, `title`, `alias`, `note`, `description`, `published`, `checked_out`, `checked_out_time`, `access`, `params`, `metadesc`, `metakey`, `metadata`, `created_user_id`, `created_time`,`created_by_alias`, `modified_user_id`, `modified_time`, `images`, `urls`, `hits`, `language`, `version`) VALUES (1, 0, 0, 1, 0, '', 'ROOT', 'root', '', '', 1, 0, '0000-00-00 00:00:00', 1, '{}', '', '', '', '', '2011-01-01 00:00:01','', 0, '0000-00-00 00:00:00', '', '', 0, '*', 1);

Any ideas?

Hello,

We are currently looking into this. It appears Joomla has a bug in the upgrade process because their boards have many posts about similar problems. We will post back when we find a solution.

Hello,

The newest site shaper now comes packed with 3.1 by default. There was a problem in the way that Joomla changed the tags table.

That 's too late for me. How can I upgrade without problems to 3.1.1 - need the tag-feature for landing pages.

I have the same problem. Updated to 3.1.1 and the tag component fails all around. Other than the frontpage, I can't get any article to work. Any suggestions that doesn't involve a fresh install with site shaper?

Here is what I get on the article manager:

 1054 Unknown column 'a.published' in 'where clause' SQL=SELECT a.id, a.title, a.level, a.parent_id FROM lfatec_tags AS a WHERE a.parent_id > 0 AND a.published IN (1) ORDER BY a.lft

Hello,

As I stated above this is an issue within the Joomla update process. If you've already made the upgrade you can try running the following sql dump via phpmyadmin. This will make all the changes to your database that are needed for 3.1 and also add in the new tags database structure. Before you import it though you need to edit the file in notepad and replace XXXXX with the prefix of your database, then simply import the file into database via phpmyadmin.

MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR DATABASE BEFORE YOU UPLOAD THE FILE THOUGH. I've tested this on a few installs locally and it worked fine, but just in case it's always good to have a backup.

PLEASE NOTE - For anyone reading this topic in the future, this file is only for those upgrading from 3.0 to 3.1
