Hi guys.
As the topic suggests.
Im running the latest version of mod_s5_image_and_content_fader

I have 3 images in the fader.
The 1st image I DONT want ANY text or title displayed so I have made the fields blank however I am getting a blank grey box square appear on the first image (where the text would normally go).
I would have thought if no text was added to one image then no text box square shoulr appear!\
If anyone has a solution, please help as I would like to use this module rather than find another one because it looks good except for this problem.
Thanks Smiley

Cant show you it live as its running on localhost / wampserver j2.5

You can recreate it simply by deleting any text in an image in the image & content slider and see it will show a blank square on the front end (where the text would go if there was any).

Hello,

I tested this locally and the square wasn't appearing. I would need to see it live to view the generated CSS as it also depends on the template styling. Could you post a copy of your template.css file? We usually put certain overrides in there.

I dont know if css will fix it without breaking the other images which we want the text to show though.
I was looking at the php files within the module but couldnt seem to even disable image 1 text ... hopefully you see a way to fix it.
Thanks

Actually I just tested it on 3 other templates and the problem is still there. Its not a problem with the templates its a problem with the fader.
Its caused by the css padding 16px which is padding a blank text  coloured background area of 16x16px when no text is added to an image.

This is not good at all.. It means you can not have an image in your fader that you dont want any text in and others that you do want text..
You have to either disable text on all images or add text on all.

You just need to add some code that detects if there is NO text on an image then to disable  text output settings for that image.

The other problem I found (that others have also reported) is the 'false' image alt text.
I see you say it is coming from browsers BUT other image sliders dont parse this alt text so it should be an option to add alt text to each image.

All in all, the content and image fader had great potential but we will have to use something else because no one wants to see 'false' written on their image and text.. it looks like something is saying that what they are seeing or reading is not true!

And the blank text background square is just messy and unfinished product code in my opinion.

These would be 2 small yet vital fixes you could address in order to make a really nice and complete product.

Hello,

Then you would need to login with the username that has a paid membership. We cannot offer support on club products to a user that has no history of a paid membership with us.
