Hello,
That is your breadcrumbs module designed to show page navigation. You can disable it in the Module Manager.

this is when the mysterious "home" module comes up
1) initial installation joomla site shaper 2) unpublish all articles 3) unpublish all modules except site shaper 4) mysterious "home" module not there BUUUUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT 5) any changes to the template. go to template manager and just remove the javascript or anything else. I appears.. so something in the template makes the "home" module appear. it is repeatable.
how should i proceedd??
thanks

Hello,
That is your component container which is used to publish articles to. There is an option in the Template Manager to Hide the Component on certain pages such as the Home Page where you do not want it.
<Home> is coming from the Page Heading input box. Just add a blank space and it should go away or you can manually hard code it out.
.blog-featured h1 { display: none; }
