Hi,
I'm having problems with multilanguage. I have the categories, menus and articles, one for each language. I have made all the steps as the instructions, but it doesn't go on.

In the template, in the vertex section, option menu there is an item: MAIN MENU LANGUAGE SWITCH, but I don't know how can I activate it.

Is it possible that this is causing the problem?

Regards.

Hello,

See here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ka8B4ZnFvk

You should have Main Menu Language Switch Enabled. The video above shows exactly how to set it up for multiple Languages in Vertex.

I have a problem too. Where do I find the the Language Switcher module. I don't see it in the module manager so I can't publish it.

Kind regards,

Hello,

Make sure it is enabled in the Plugin Manager of Joomla. By default it is set to "unpublished" Also be sure to watch our video explaining all the steps for this here:

Yes I followed the video. At the point of enabling the system language filter I see a message on my screen to enable the language switcher. See print screen. In the video it doesn't mention this. But I found it eventually in module manager > new module and there I could select it.

At the end of all the steps of the tutorial I don't see the flags appearing. Just the English menu. Any suggestions what could have gone wrong? In this tutorial I found some steps at the end which where helpful: http://www.slideshare.net/erictiggeler/creating-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-joomla-3-beginners-guide-eric-tiggeler

And a second question: do you have an example of a website with vertex where I can see at the fronted what it should look like with a complete menu? In the video it is very simple with 2 articles.

Hello,

1) There should be an option in the Module - Language Switcher to change the layout options. Only one of the options will appear with the flags the others will appear in plain text.

2) No we do not have any examples of this other than the Tutorial Video. The template doesn't control these functions we just made the tutorial since a lot of users were requesting it.

Hello,

The only thing I can suggest would be to make sure you followed our Video tutorial 100% exactly. It explains everything you need to know to create a multilingual site in Joomla. Just make sure you have both languages set as the default languages and the correct plugins enabled as explained in the video.
