every image gallery i have tried will cause the image fader and accordion menu to not work. do you know of an image gallery that will work with this template? i am in desperate need of one.

I am working on a patch that will update the framework to run on jQuery instead of mootools, and that should solve any script conflicts that may be causing the issues you are having.

i do have a paid club membership. 22 days left on the Joomla and 343 days left on the wordpress. Sometimes i have to log out and in again for it to show properly but I am a member. Do you have any idea how long the patch will take? The site is ready to go live otherwise. Thanks, Renita

I found another issue in the wordpress modern flavor template.

When you add a widget to the right sidebar or left sidebar position only on one page it adds a blank sidebar to all the other pages. I only wanted it on the blog page.

Is there a fix for this?

The widget sizing issue is resolved  in thIs WordPress FAQ post.

It appears that you have 2 accounts; the account that you used to post the initial question doesn't have a paid membership.  Thank you for switching to the account that does.

I am hoping to have the patch ready in the next few days.  I can't give a definite time frame because I also have to spend time on forum support, which is time spent not programming.

Just for clarification, when you say "gallery", you mean a plugin that allows you to display a collection of images in a grid, correct?  I've had other members call an image slider a "gallery" before, so I just want to make sure.

One of my clients is using this plugin on a site using a theme that was built on the original Vertex Framework, so it should work for you as well.

Would you be willing to provide a URL?

I tried NextGEN Gallery first and then a few others. One of them was the link you provided which did not work either. I should not say they didn't work, they did but then the menu and image fader would not.

When i say gallery I mean images that pull from a folder and have a lightbox effect when you click on them to see a larger image.

Not sure why I would have 2 accounts, I only have one log in.

I will look into the other fix for the widgets. Thanks.

If that one isn't working for you, I'm not sure what to tell you.  I'm still working on the patch, hopefully it'll be ready soon; there's just a lot of things I have to test to make sure nothing breaks.

Do you have a testing site available that I could use to test the patch on?  I'm getting close to complete, but there's only so much I can test without a "real" site to check it on.

i guess i can back up the site and then you can test it on the live site. i don't have a different testing environment. let me know how i would send you the info to test it.

Also, sorry about the delays; I've been a little overloaded recently as well as slightly sick, so I'm a little behind on a lot of things.  I need to have the release for this month out by the end of the week; if you don't mind waiting until Monday, I'll be much more capable of focusing my attention on getting your site upgraded without other deadlines in the way.
