Hello,

The direction automatically changes based on your user's language choice, it's a default parameter in Joomla's language files. You would need to use a font that supports Arabic, you would need to search google font's website for this. Most google fonts support some of Arabic, but not everything. I would recommend using a web safe font such as Arial, which can be chosen from the Vertex admin, which does support Arabic.

Hello,

RTL will only kick in if you've setup the site for multi language and the user selects their language as a RTL language, that is a default feature of Joomla.

Hello,

If you want your site to use RTL you have to set your site up to a specific language, usually this is on multi language sites. We have given a multi language tutorial here:

Hello,

A language translation is for the backend of Joomla, not the frontend. A template only has any effect on the frontend. Anything for 1.7 will work with 2.5.

Hello,

I am not sure what your asking. The Template doesn't have any control over language settings as stated multiple times. If you have questions relating to the Joomla Language Packs please post them on extensions.joomla.org

Hello,

A lot of people still use J1.5 since it is what they are familiar with but a lot of extra features were built into the newer versions (2.5/3.0) It is up to you which version to use but if everything is working properly on 1.5 I would just stick with that.

Hello,

It depends on what your user base requires. Some languages require a RTL format, others do not.
