hi

i'm using lime light template and jomdirectory http://comdev.eu/ as the main component of my site

there's a module from jomdirectory that is supposed to be a slideshow but it's not working or showing right at all, i already contact them and they say it is a jquery conflict with the template, i change the template for a simpler one just to check and module show better

so i guess they are not far from right, they advice me to contact you regarding this issue?

could you please check on this and see if there's a quick fix??

please let me know if you need backend or ftp credentials to check on this

Hello,

It is most likely due to your 3rd party script not being coded properly so it is conflicting with some core scripts utilized in the Template. This could include the Flex Menu, Multibox Script or others depending on what you have enabled.

If you publish the module to a different page other than the "Home" page where all that exists is a single article and the module does it function better? This would eliminate all unnecessary modules that are included on the Home Page to help isolate the issue.

Hello,

The extension is most likely conflicting with one of the Template scripts then. The default templates are just simple styling and don't have any type of feature integration. We can't guarantee compatibility with all 3rd party extensions as some of them are not calling scripts properly and they conflict with the core scripts of the Template.

If you have turned off all the Template specific scripts then it is most likely a core script that can't be disabled or the Template will not function properly. You will need to contact the extension developer to see if they can determine what script is conflicting and modify the coding.
