Just got the membership to shape5 last night, this was the theme I wanted to use. But in short, the post a couple below mine (it was locked or I would have replied in that one) is the exact issue I am having where the text is all displaying over the boxes all over itself on the admin screen. I have tried re-upping the files twice on FTP. I have the site going through CloudFlare and tried turning off minify on js; it is hosted on justhost, not a "free hosting" site, so it shouldn't be an issue with that.

Just wondering if this issue was ever come across again and figured out for fixing? Thanks

That topic was closed yesterday as old and resolved.  Every instance of that problem has been solved by the member switching hosting providers, which means it has to have something to do with server-side settings.

The other topic also had a reply from Dave (the programmer who handled the coding for the admin); he wasn't able to find anything wrong with the code, even when given FTP access to the site that had the issues.

All releases from Paradigm Shift and newer have a completely new admin and are built on the Vertex framework, which means that they will be getting updated any time there's a patch to the framework; if there is a Vertex-based theme you can use, I recommend upgrading to one of those.

Well that's just great... Sad

My site is covering games, movies, comics; super-hero type stuff.... none of your newer themes have that dark look that would work at all. That one game theme was the reason I got this memberships for use of it with the plugins. My hosting provider I have with 2 other domains and have had no other issues with them.  I recently switched one of the domains from godaddy to them just to have them all in one place. So I guess I am just SOL with a membership to a site here waiting for a theme that MIGHT come out each month I could make use of while I am still searching the net for a theme to use no better off than I was a couple nights ago just 80 bucks lighter in the wallet.

Have you tried applying the patch from the FAQ?  Hexicon is on the framework; I haven't had my coffee yet and I misread the theme name as Game Crusade.  There's nothing I can do for pre-framework themes at this point, but Hexicon is newer than Paradigm Shift and should have no issues being patched with the download in the Wordpress FAQ.

Thanks Tristan, the patch fixed the problem. The only bad thing is I can't seem to get the demo data to carry over when I copy it from FTP. Is there a certain home page I should be pointing at? After copying the site shaper data to the server, it reverts my wordpress back to an older version of WP, which I have to update before being able to do anything, then have to update some of the plugins, then have to re-apply the patch because the site shaper messed up the admin panel again. Finally after the patch I can see options, but I see none of the sample data. I do not want to wipe out my wordpress installation and reinstall. I also have other themes and do not want to ruin the others, just would like to get the sample data up onto this theme. Thanks for the patch idea on the admind JS menu!

Had to turn off the "coming soon" site page... not planning to open till first of January.

www.SuperHeroWorlds.com

had set with latest posts showing nothing; and could not tell what page to point at for a static home page if there is one that was uploaded in the demo. In fairness I have many because of a couple of installed bootstrap themes with custom pages. But there is no new "home" pages that were uploaded that I could see...

From the look of things, you didn't actually complete the shaper installation.  To install on top of an existing site with all the sample data, you have to activate the shaper plugin, but if you value your existing content, I recommend against that, as it will completely wipe the database and create a clone of the demo.

In case I wasn't clear enough: If you want to keep your existing content, don't activate the "Sample Data Injector" plugin, as it will erase everything.

So is there no way to do both? Install demo data AND keep my data?? I have tried many themes and that includes importing demo data; never heard of having to wipe out other stuff to do it... ?

Because the demo content is more than 90% widgets and settings, there is no easy way to have it import the settings and content from the demo without erasing the existing database.  I've been wanting to change the way shapers work, but as the shapers work fine as-is for 99.9+% of members, the monthly releases and all upgrades/patches have been higher priority.

If you have any detabase experience, you can take a look at the shaper_something.php file in your plugins folder and try removing the lines that drop all tables in the database before adding the demo content, but there's still a very good chance that the "Replace Into" process will overwrite some of your existing content.

If all of your content is posts and pages, then I suggest backing up everything and trying a WP export then running the shaper plugin and re-importing your content on top of the demo content.  Even better would be installing the shaper in a different location and trying the import there so you don't have to take any risk with your main site until you're sure the import will work in the way you want.
