I have set up a 'portal' for my customer. I set the site up as an offline so the my customers, customer can log in for their part of the website. However, when i set this up, it will not allow the registered user to enter the offline site.
Under permissions I have allowed off line access, off site access and combinations of both to / for the registered user. To no avail.
I have tried several things, again to no avail. I have also tried some table work through myphpadmin and this didn't work either.


Please help???

Hello,

I am not sure what would cause that but the Template doesn't provide any of those functions. Generally when a site is in offline mode simply entering your user credentials will allow you to access the site without any issues. I would suggest contacting joomla.org to see if they have any idea what might be causing this if you still have issues.

I explained the same issue to joomla, and they advised contacting you.

This is one of the feeds from Joomla with the same problem. - http://forum.joomla.org/viewtopic.php?f=615&t=811858 - it alludes to changing the asset table. Any thoughts here?

I have used this function on several other templates, with no problems. For some reason, this one isn't working.

Here is one work around, but it kind of takes the log in aspect out of it. - extensions.joomla.org/extensions/miscellaneous/offline

I haven't used this one but it looks good. thoughts? - http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/miscellaneous/offline/18971 - I would much rather do it the right way, but this could be the answer.

Hello,

You could try either one of them but I wouldn't advise modifying the assets table unless you 100% know what your doing. You can easily corrupt a site this way if something is changed incorrectly. This would again be something I would advise contacting Joomla about as the Template is just a stock copy of Joomla with our added styling.
