Hi, I'm having some trouble with the Image and Content Fader.  Recently I decided to move from Joomla 1.5 to the newest version, so I decided to start the website from scratch but build it up what it looked like before, including using the Photofolio template.

- First off if I use Mootools/Jquery then the module does not appear to show right, the images fade to and from each other but the image selector is fixed at the bottom and the text for each slide doesn't show.  So I am using Legacy (S5 Effects) at the mo, but on firefox the fade wasn't showing properly and showed the background image.

- On the front page the Quick Contact module is appearing too close to another module, I cant work out how to expand the gap.  I also tried to match the background to my old site and make it black, but it doesn't seem to change.

- When editing articles the background image is showing through making it difficult to see, I need to set a white background but cant find anyway to do that at the moment?

- I am also having trouble linking from one article to another, it seems to show the article on the front page with the image fade.

I'm not sure if this is a Joomla problem or a problem with the template, please advise?

The main page with image fader can be seen here.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I sent you a PM regarding this a few days ago.

Quote
Hello,

1) The CSS coding for Photofolio (old version) was overriding some of the newer styling. I changed this up so it shows the info slide text as well as the thumbnails.

2) I also added a 15px margin to the content at the bottom that you said was too close to each other.

3) For your other issues I am not sure exactly what you are referring to but the Template wouldn't control article URL links or redirects. This would be a better questions for joomla.org.

-Mike

Make sure you clear the cache to see the changes I made. If you have any further questions please let me know.

Ah thanks, sorry I didn't see that.

The article / picture slider looks a lot better now, but the carousel / thumbnails still look a little messed up.  They appear fixed and transparent, pushing the text up near the middle of the picture.  If I remember correctly from my joomla 2.5 site only the text showed, the thumbnails would only appear when you hovered over the picture!?

I've posted a message about the linking on the joomla forums, but the error message at the top of the page, would that be to do with the template or joomla?  It appears to reporting an error about the template?

Thanks Smiley

Hello,

1) The layout is different because you arent using the same Module. You have it set as the Image and Content Fader but on our demo we are using the S5 Image Fader.

http://shape5.com/demo/photofolio/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=215&Itemid=258

2) I am not noticing an error at the top of the page. Any errors related to URLs wouldn't be caused by the Template, but more so your SEF settings in the back end of Joomla.

Hi Mike, thanks for the reply again.  I realise that, but I'm using the same modular on another website and it doesn't appear the way it is appearing here.  Even if I doable the image carousel like I have done now, the text info is appearing near the center of the image and does not look correct.  Is there a setting I am missing, on my other site it just drops down to the bottom the image.

Just for reference the other site I'm talking about is www.isolationfilms.com

Thanks.

Hello,

If you remove the following it should appear with the grey box at the bottom like your other site.

Template.CSS - Line 1278

.jdGallery .slideInfoZone {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #000000 !important;
    bottom: 100px !important;
}
