Hi,

I am trying to customize the background on this template and have tried everything.  Huh http://test.suitebellevue.com/

I did it under the theme options under background, via template.css and under the individual theme templates, (sports.css etc) ... I don't know where it is pulling it from. Also the image slider is not located in toprow 1.1 so I don't know how to get that either.

Thanks!

Okay I got the background image to work under custom.css, but the rest won't modify like the top row or the gradient, even if put important. ??

The Top Row background is an option on the first tab of the theme admin.

I suggest using the shaper install on a separate testing site so you can see where/how everything works.  The Wordpress FAQ has 2 options for how to install a shaper, you'll just have to download the one for the theme you're using.

The problem was actually a cache on the server. I didn't need the shaper because you do have to customize a lot via the template.css. However, the only thing it won't get rid of is the grey square on the inside page: http://test.suitebellevue.com/?page_id=31

Can you tell me where that is?

That is the "Top Row 1 Background" set on the first page of the theme admin.  I'm not sure why the color was hard-coded into the index (I'm not a designer, I handle framework programming) but you can find it on line 224 of the index.php in the theme folder; I suggest just removing the color or changing it to transparent.

How do you put in a custom back ground image, instead of the standard corporate, mountain, or ocean backgrounds?

All images for the theme are in the images subfolder of the theme; if the file names aren't a good indication of which file to replace, Firebug should be able to tell you easily enough.
