hi I'm migrating from a template to helion and the main menu does not show the menu items daughters (see picture) in the "about us".
Can you help me if I give you access as an administrator?
The site is now on line with the old template and you can see here: www.agrireteservice.it/uuso
Thank you for your help.
bye

Hello,

Can you post a URL as well to your new site? Also, make sure that you aren't using any 3rd party scripts on the page as these can cause conflicts with the menu rendering.

thanks for the quick reply. I placed site online with the helion  template that manages main menu items.
if you need to log in as administrator I am sending you confidentially login and password.
I would use S5 Vertical accordion to show "Prossime scadenze" but I can not understand how to do (look file vertical accordion) and I do not know the name of the news module (look file news) and the "Top of page" does not function correctly.
And sorry but I can not to appear the Drop down area...  Cry
I should put in position copyright this additional text :

 <p> Agri Rete Service Soc. Coop. - Ufficio Servizi Ortofrutta - Via Torino 146 00184 Roma - Tel. 06/46978226 -
    www.agrireteservice.it
     <a href="mailto:[email protected]" >webmaster[/url]
  </p>

Bye and thanks for your help
Alex

Hello,

Your menu system is not dropping down properly due to a conflict with one of your 3rd party extensions. You will need to temporarily disable any 3rd party extension and re-enable them until you find which one is conflicting.

Ok Mike good indication... I try the 3rd party in "News" module but now I does not know which S5 module I can put for the news.
I should use (i think) the module that in your helion demo is as the printscreen in attach, but I does not the name of that module.
thanks  Cheesy  Grin

Hello,

That is a Custom HTML module published to the middle_top_1 position.

Code:

<div class="middle_top_image_wrap">
<div class="middle_top_image_wrap_inner"><img src="images/middle_top1.jpg" alt="" />
<div class="middle_top_image_content">
<h4>Thor The Dark World</h4>

<div class="middle_top_image_wrap">
<div class="middle_top_image_wrap_inner"><img src="images/middle_top2.jpg" alt="" />
<div class="middle_top_image_content">
<h4>The Return Of Rio</h4>
<br />Mauris ultrices consectetur justo, vitae ac nislom sed justo ele</div>

<div class="middle_top_image_wrap">

 Cheesy ok I understand how to use your text html ... I put it in a html module and it works well.
However, I wanted to use an S5 module that automatically publishes the latest articles that I post on the site and connect it to a category "News".
See the sample file I have attached (or go directly to the page that you see as you point out below - you must enter the password because the site is off-line).

http://www.agrireteservice.it/uuso/agroindustria

And How can I change the background colour of the menu title?

Thanks and sorry for all these requests.

Hi Mike...
I put the site on-line, and the main menu has stopped working correctly (the child items) ... if I put it off-line returns to work well ... I tried to turn off other 3rd party but nothing to do ... what could have happened ?
Bye

Hello,

1) The color for the Menu background is controlled via the Highlight color in the Template Manager

2) Try disabling the following added script:

http://www.agrireteservice.it/uuso/plugins/system/tooltips/js

3) For articles there are many built in options in Joomla for displaying things such as Articles in Categories or Featured Articles which you can use to output them to the component.

 Cry  sigh....

I tried to disable the plugins but nothing to do and I also disabled different modules including Kunena that could cause problems, but the Main Menu does not work .... I do not know what to do because this feature is very important for our site ...

For the colors of the menu I had already tried to change it (see attachment) but the system does not respond and the colors remain the same base ... I do not understand ...

Please solve these problems ...
thanks and sorry

Hello,

1) The Template manager only controls specific areas of the site. Certain backgrounds and colors are generated via CSS so you will need to use Firebug to identify any existing CSS on the page and alter the color codes.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kmZ9uQcA_c

2) I tested this on a fresh Site Shaper as well as a local install and the menus were functioning properly. The main fact that you can get the menu to load properly on another page indicates that all the files and scripts are active and working on your server. Something when you are turning the site on line that you have added is conflicting that is not part of our Template package.

Even using Firebug as you said I could change the background of the menu titles ...
Thanks Mike for the information you have given me .... the topic is considered closed.
