At http://awdtest1.com/theatre-bluray I have set a Read More link after the 2nd paragraph but, as you will see, it doesn't show up.

I see the code in the HTML but, it doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Hello,

I am not seeing any read more entries in the code view of the site for that page. Make sure your article settings are being saved and you are adding the button with the default coding provided by Joomla.

Here's the html view from the page
Code:
<p>Nothing is worse than spending a lot of money on a component only to have it become obsolete a short while later. Read more to learn about the latest things going on with blu-ray players to make sure that your purchase will continue to serve you for years to come.</p>
<p>Most blu-ray players we sell are on the cutting edge of technology. If you are looking for a blu ray player, make sure it has the following features to keep you satisfied with your purchase for years to come.</p>
<hr id="system-readmore" />
<p>Network capability ? Make sure that the player you buy is able to connect to your home network. If the system is in a location where you cannot run a wired internet connection, ensure that it is able to use wi-fi. This will allow you to access the online features of your blu-ray discs, important firmware updates, and the internet applications that are becoming standard fare in new players.</p>
<p>Netflix &amp; Cinemanow capability ? One of the best parts of the digital age is that everything can be accessed without physical media in your home. Netflix and Cinemanow are streaming services that use your internet connection to stream movies (or in the case of Netflix, TV shows as well). As these services begin to license and provide more and more content you may find yourself tempted to subscribe if you don?t already. Having a blu-ray player that is capable of supporting these services will save you money down the road.</p>
<p>3-D capable ? Even if you don?t like 3-D video others in your family (especially young children) might. Having a 3-D capable player will ensure that as you upgrade other components of your system, your newer equipment doesn?t leave the blu-ray player you bought in the dust.</p>

Hello,

Are you sure you aren't caching something? This is an export directly from the code view on my end:

Code:
<span itemprop="articleBody">
<p>Nothing is worse than spending a lot of money on a component only to have it become obsolete a short while later. Read more to learn about the latest things going on with blu-ray players to make sure that your purchase will continue to serve you for years to come.</p>

</span>

Try reapplying the button in the article , making sure its enabled under the menu settings and clearing your cache.

Did all of that before creating the post although, I am not sure what you are referring to here

enabled under the menu settings

See attached screen shots from Chrome and IE on my machine - the same is true of Opera and Safari although I have not sent screen shots of them. You will also see an image from my iPad that shows the Read More code is there.

I also see the same thing on another computer but have not sent a screen shot.

I have sent you Admin access via PM - maybe you can see what is wrong.

Thanks

So, if I turned the page into a blog page, I could insert a read more.

I'll give it a try

Thanks

Hello,

Read More is designed for pages other than your actual article page and used when you need to display an "intro" text from the article in other areas of the site. This would redirect users to the full page article when clicking the button. Read More won't appear on the actual full article URL page itself.
