I am wanting to speed up our
http://seahawksgc.com.au site and was wondering how the "enable js compression" and "enable css compression" features works. In the help notes there is a warning not to enable this feature whilst under development, otherwise it will cache files until they expire and make it difficult to edit the site.
Although the development phase is well and truly complete, we are continually adding posts and changing the front slider to keep the content fresh. Is this regarded as "editing" the site? Will enabling compression at this stage cause any problems? What are the issues to consider and look out for - I assume most sites keep adding content and this feature must be able to be switched on at some stage.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, as our site is running very slowly. Cheers Jean
