Ok, so i wanted to change my main background image into a 1 big image
and i wanted everything inside the red box (the image below from my testing site) to white..

how can i do this?
i tried to touch the CSS but i'm afraid i might trigger some sort of problem.. lol
pls tell me this is possible.. xD

It's possible but it would require some custom programming, and we don't provide those services.. You can change the background of the page under the Backgrounds tab in the Vertex admin. Adding a white background to the areas you mentioned though while require quite a lot of programming because the rows are intended to be full width, and not wrapped in a fixed width div.
