Sorry to post such a basic question, but I am flummoxed.

I need to accommodate mostly older visitors on my sites, and the medium gray, slightly smaller font in content articles is difficult for the folks who are testing for me.

I have looked through the settings for the Oasis template and have looked at the CSS files, but I can't find where to change the default font size and color for content articles.  Where does that occur?

Quite by accident, I discovered that changing the BODY color in line 3 of the template.css file changes the default font color.  Since I found that as a temporary solution, I made the change there.  However, I thought the BODY color element refers to the main container's default background, not a font.

Looking forward to clarification.

Hello,

Have you tried changing the override here?

Template Manager > Layout > Component/Article Font Size Override

Thanks -- I did, but I think I need to make it even larger.  How do I change the default color?

Hello,

1) The Template Manager supports all the way up to a 2em default which is twice the size of the standard font size. You can also enable the "Font Resizer" javascript under the Javascripts Tab to allow users with vision disabilities to increase the font size further.

2) To change the color of all the text within the articles you can add this to the custom.css and adjust as needed.

Code:
#s5_component_wrap {
  color: #ff0000 !important;}
