Hi everybody, first of all let me introduce myself, my name is Carlos, I'm from Guatemala, and I'm completely new to joomla. I'm starting up a webpage and I liked the Risen Hope template for my site. I need some help as I don't know if there are special requirements to use this template as I followed the tutorial to setup the text and image content fader, and it doesn't seems to work for me, not sure if I'm missing a plugin or what. I've worked with the helix framework and the sliders work like a charm, but I'm still not able to make it work on this template. Please help me

Hello,

Did you install via the Site Shaper or the Template Standalone? If your newer to Joomla and our products I would recommend installing the Site Shaper to a sub directory on your site. Then you can reference the position, class suffixes and any settings taken directly from our demo site.

If you have any specific questions I would need to know your settings that you are using currently for this module.

Yes, I installed the standalone template as I already had joomla installed. I will try using the site shaper.

I installed it using the siteshaper and now everything works great! Thanks for the tip! Now I have another question, I'm now customizing my page and I want to change the text color for the image and content fader and I can't find that option, where can I change this?

Hello,

You can use the following CSS in the custom.css file to add different colors for the Image and Content Fader Text:

Code:
.slide_title {
     color: #ff0000 ! important;
}

.center_text, .slide_text {
     color: #ff0000 ! important;
}

Hi, I have another question, I'm trying to change the logo, and the way I did it was by uploading to the folder my logo with the same s5_logo.png filename, and it works, but the logo appears at the bottom of the logo area. How can I do to have it centered on that area? Is there any other way to change the logo?

Hello,

1) If you use Firebug you can identify the CSS location to change the margins for the logo as needed

2) You can also create a custom HTML module in the "logo" position with just an image

I have just downloaded the Risen_Hope template at stage in and am finding it hard to get the installation to pass the last stage . It  will sets up the database but will not load sample data. It just hangs and is not moving past that stage .  It does not give me an option to disregard sample data as well.

Hello,

1) What version of PHP is your server running?

2) Have you tried a different browser?

3) Does your database have full privileges such as Write?

4) Is this a live or local environment?

Thanks for the response. I managed to solve the problem and this is how I did it. What had happened is that due to conflict  between Apache and Skype ie port 443 and 80. I changed my localhost port to 1234 meaning that if I wanted to get thru to the admin or frontpage I had to first type localhost:1234/joomlaRisen_Hope . Now coz i had done not updated my tables in the database it was stuck at loading sample data or database.  Went to this link and got my SOS pass go collect $200 do not go to jail etc
http://www.optimumtheme.com/blog/troubleshooting-joomla-3-x-installation-hangs-during-the-creating-database-tables-step.html.

Thanks
