For some reason, I need to implement this module to a Joomla 1.5 website. I modified mod_s5_tellafriend.xml and the installation went through.

However, I got a "Call to undefined method JRegistry::loadString() in /var/www/...  line 32" error when trying to bring up the form.
I wonder if there is any Captcha version that is working with Joomla 1.5. Any assistance would be highly appreciated!!

I believe that "JRegistry::loadString()" is a Joomla 1.7 and higher function. You would need to replace this function with API from Joomla 1.5 and any other functions or php that is specific to a version of Joomla higher than 1.5

We don't have a working 1.5 version as this was added later on in J1.7+
