Hi guys,

To start off with, you have done an incredible job with this month's template; I am always impressed with your work, but you have gone above and beyond with this one. Wink

However, I tried to install the CB module from a few months back into the cpanel position and upon refreshing it goes to a white page (I'm on my localhost and have error reporting on, but nothing is output).

I also tried publishing the CB Login module to the CPanel position, but it redirects to the login page and I'd much rather have the slick JS effects, as opposed to redirecting to a login page.

Do you guys plan on implementing something in this regard?

I was going to work with your code and CB's code and try to refactor something to suit my needs as I'm under time constraints, but both modules are rather poorly commented... Sad

((Ahem... It doesn't help that I'm still working on my PHP skills...))

So, I'm looking to hear your guys' response and insight. Thank you for your time and assistance; it's truly appreciated, as always.

Sincerely,

"Dro Buddy"

Hello Joseph,

Thanks!

We don't have any plans to on really implementing any of what you suggest but in regards to the CB login module taking you to a login page, I would try posting this on the CB forum boards.  It shouldn't take you to a login page after logging in.

Regards,

Hi Jonah,

Apparently there was a bit of a misunderstanding. Let me rephrase the problem: When I publish the CB Login Module to the CPanel position in City Portal, it no longer has the slick JavaScript effect where the login prompt is displayed within the JS pop-up. Instead of showing the JS pop-up and the login prompt, the "Login" button redirects you to CB's normal login page.

So, I'm not saying upon logging in I get redirected, but when I go to click on the "Login" button that it redirects me (as it should...). However, instead of having the traditional login prompt, I'd rather integrate CB's login into the CPanel JS pop-up module position.

Is that any more clear?

To put it simply; I don't use Joomla!'s login system, so having Joomla!'s login prompt show up in the JS window doesn't do me any good. However, having the same effects for any login module published to that position... That would be useful... To say the least.

So, after I finish up on a few other projects, I'll see if I can go through your code and figure out how you are populating the JS login window. If I'm able to "convert" it so that either the CB login or the Joomla! login can be displayed there, I'll make it available here for other subscribers.

If anyone is interested in having CB's login integrated into the "Login" button, hit me up and we'll try and work something out. And, just in case I don't have my contact info in my profile, use

Peace.

I was able to resolve the problem by reinstalling the CB module... Sorry, I forgot to mark this solved.

Btw... The ability to change the Register button's link in the template admin... That's just slick.  Grin

And, feel free to check out Amero Help Wanted [dot] com to see how I've implemented this month's template...

Milwaukee,

You have to open the image up in Photoshop / Fireworks / GIMP (or, some other image software) and you can then edit the text on the image. When you're done modifying the text, simply go to File -> Export -> For Web and follow the prompt (this process is slightly different depending on which image editing software you're using, but it's still similar enough).

When you are done, you will have a folder with all of the images that were "sliced" apart when you exported for the web; inside the folder, you will find your newly created logo... Now, you can simply upload it into your webserver > Templates > City Portal > Images folder and it will take effect. However, note that if you are using either the Blue or Orange themes, then you will have to upload your new logo into it's respective directory (ie. webserver > Templates > City Portal > Images > Blue (or) Orange).

There ya go, now you have a new, custom logo! If you need any more insight or for me to clarify things, simply send me a message and we'll work it out. Wink

P.S.
Thanks for the review, but for now on, please either create a new thread or send a message to the author when asking questions that are not relevant to the original post... It makes it easier for us to manage responses (and, I almost missed your post, because it was tagged along on this thread).

Peace and Blessings!
