I am trying to install City Portal template on Joomla 1.5.7 and after waiting a few minutes, the screen (Joomla Administrator) just goes blank.

What could I be doing wrong?

It sounds like the connection is timing out, perhaps try from a different PC?

The 'copy files' method works and I can get to the template. Would still be interested in knowing why it won't install in the usual way. Any ideas?

I'm not sure as I tested the download available in the downloads area (Joomla 1.5 version) and it worked for me.
