Hi,
I have the Oasis Template installed with Joomla 2,5 CMS and are planning an upgrade to 3.x.
Is this a straight forward proces following the Joomla migration instructions or will it give problems for the Oasis Template ?
Is there any nessesay template updatings etc. before/after the migration ? Any known problems ?
Do you have any instructions of how to handle this concerning the template ?
I would appareciate your comments to above to have a smooth migration.
Best regards Peter

(In a safe environment locally) When publish the web page I get the following fault: 500 - JHtmlBehavior::mootools not found.I think this is related to the template ? Should the template have been updated before/after the migrating? Where can I find a upgade path ? Other suggestions - I accreciate your reply. Thanks in advance. Hi,

Hello,
You would want to follow this process:
1) Update Joomla to the latest 3.X Version 2) Remove via the Extension Manager your 2.5 Template. After that check on the server in the Templates folder to ensure nothing was left over 3) Install via the Extension Manager the Template - Current for J3.X 4) Apply this Template as your "Active" Template
If you are getting Mootools Not Found errors this is because Mootools is not used in J3.X. You most likely have a module or extension that is still trying to call the old library. You need to make sure everything is updated not just the Template or the error can appear.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I did follow your advice. I also reinstalled the S5 Flex menu.
After deactivating and activating extensions one by one, I found that an "Image Sizer" was causing the Mootools error, and I'm now able to show the webpage.
However, something is completely wrong:
- I't seems like I'm missing the template positions. The modules, left, right and below, are not showed correctly. - The S5 Tab show is not showed correctly - The S5 Flex menu is functioning but font are not showed correct - I'm missing the Vertex menu
(does the S5 Tab show, S5 vertical Accordion, S5 box etc. have to be updated maually as well. Should I do an uninstall and install ?)
Any new advise for me ?
Thanks in advance - Peter

Hello,
I would completely uninstall any extensions/templates and then update Joomla to the latest version. After that reinstall the latest version of the Template and then after that integrate the updated versions of the Extensions one by one.

Hi,
I have now unistalled the template and extensions, moved my site to a test domaine and updated to Joomla 3.4. The Oasis template is installed again.
Problem: The Vertex template menu is missing. What can be wrong - have I forgotten something ?
(yes I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the template. The site is also clean from other non-3.x-compatibile extensions )

Hello, In the Template Manager under the Menu Tab try assigning a different menu then Save. After saving swap it back to the Home Menu item and it should detect your default menu style. Also just double check the Menu is turned on at the top

Hello,
You need to use the default ISIS back end theme for 3.X. That one was for older versions of Joomla
