I am using the Helion template and have vertex updated to the latest version. My problem is that I'm trying to use the Ideal Solutions iStore locator plugin and teh formatting is not correct. Upon contacting their tech support I got the following response?

Your template is loading a very old Bootstrap version (2.1.0) instead of using the Bootstrap version included in Joomla, which is version 2.3.2.

Can you please ask your template developer to either use the Bootstrap version included in Joomla OR update to Bootstrap 2.3.2?

How would I update the bootstrap to version 2.3.2 included with joomla?  I'm assuming I need to update the bootstrap-default.css. It is showing the older version.

Hello,

All we call is the CSS to stylize bootstrap, not bootstrap itself which is mainly javascript files. It is not 2.1.0 in the framework, that's just what the starting point was. Bootstrap is not intended to be a copy/paste framework, it's just a starting point for the CSS that you then customize for your project (otherwise every bootstrap template would look exactly the same).

We have a lot of customizations in the CSS that make the CSS work with our files and stylize the default Joomla pages (which is the only reason why we call it at all). We won't be updating the bootstrap CSS until Joomla decides to go to Bootstrap 3 because we have no need to. At this point Joomla has made no mention of upgrading to a newer version.

Regards,

This is something that the developer of the extension needs to correct. They shouldn?t be relying on the template to stylize their extension, which based on their response it appears that they are.
