Hi, can you please show me how to place icons in front of the menu items? I was not able to do so by using the button Set Icon.
Also I would like to split the submenu items into three columns but I do not see the Flex menu option for doing this?
I attached an image!
The url is http://aca.cc.rs/kd/

If you click the "Screen Options" tab in the top-right corner of the menu editor screen and enable the "Description" option, all the other Flex Menu options will appear for each menu item.  You'll also want to enable "FlexMenu Elements", as that is what lets you add the Column Splitter, Widget Area, and Group menu items.

As for the menu icon, there seems to be a bug in the WP uploader that has issues with activating the icon feature; the latest Vertex Upgrade Patch bypasses the uploader and allows you to just enter the URL of the image you want to use.  There is a new version of the framework currently in development which should hopefully include an overhaul of the Flex Menu system, but I have no way of knowing when the new framework will be available for testing/release.

Thanks for your reply. I followed your suggestion and enabled Description within the Screen Options as well as the options Activate Flex Menu and FlexMenu Elements. When I select the option Column Splitter in the Menu Item Type section, and I click Save menu, the Menu Item Type reverts back to Menu Item so I am unable to Save my choice. Also, I tried to enter the url of the image I would like to use as menu item icon, but after I click Insert into Post button, nothing happens.
In the About section of the Shape5 Theme Options it says - The most current version of Vertex is 3.4.0 - Does this mean that I have the most current version?
Can you please point me to the right direction with these issues?
Thanking you in advance!
Alex

If you look on the left sidebar of the menu editor, you will see the "Flex Menu Elements" section; expand that and you will see the column splitter option - that's how you add a column splitter.

There have been a lot of "minor" changes in the Vertex Upgrade Patch since the last full version number - those are reserved for major releases.  One of those "minor" changes is removing the button for the buggy WP uploader, and replacing it with a text box where you can just enter the URL of the image you want as a menu icon.

After applying the vertex patch I was able to split the sub menus in three columns and add icons!

Thanks for your help!
