I would like to make the border which are now solid 1px wider, preferably about 3 px. If I adjust that now the site becomes 'messed up' so I need to change more settings but I can not figure out which ones...

Please advise.

Hi, that would actually be very hard to do, all of the width calculations for the width of the site and width of the columns would have to be adjusted to do this.
