I had our website all set and functioning with the background image set to scale "100% auto", the background color set to an off-white and using a modified S5_bottom_bg image to match our styling.
While fixing another issue (having a nav menu link open a new tab) i found out I needed to apply the "Vertex Patch". I applied the patch and it worked for the link issue but now the "Background Image Size Option" settings from the "Background " tab are not being applied to the Body background image. I needed to take our site live and had to come up with a fix so I hard coded it into the CSS for the background image scaling. You can see the live site here with the CSS settings http://stairwaypartners.com/
. Unfortunately I am not able to completely adjust the rest of the settings within the CSS. You can see here on a demo site I set up to demonstrate the problem http://redcommunicationsllc.com/stairway/
This is a clean install of the theme with the only changes being the background image and the Vertex Patch being applied.
I will try and explain the different ways that I have tried to fix this new issue:
- I have tried to revert back to the demo content set up using the "Header Background Image" on the "Template Specific" tab like the demo content has it. But if I change the Background color to a new color the S5_bottom_bg image is not displayed. I know the theme is built this way, but we are using this image.
- I tried setting the background color in the CSS but this removes the S5_bottom_bg image also.
Can you help with why the Vertex Patch caused this issue to happen?
