apologies in advance, but i've never uploaded a video to my site before, and am at a loss how to get the incline video working.
i know to go into the template manager, but how and where do i upload the video to?

i read somewhere to upload via ftp onto my server.
do i do this through my file manager?

sorry, never done this before, and didn't find any instructions anywhere.

Hello,

1) Use the FTP or File Manager to navigate to the root directory of your website.

2) Upload your video to your server and make sure its in .mp4 format.

3) Specify the URL path to this video in the Template Manager in the Video URL input box. A direct URL is fine just make sure the URL you enter here would actually load your video if you enter it in the browser address bar.

i uploaded into my "video.mp4" into:
public_html/new/templates/incline/images

but when i copy this:
public_html/new/templates/incline/images/video.mp4

into the custom 1 video url, i only get a blank screen.

what am i missing?  i know you mentioned the url should work for the video as if it were put in a browser.  i'm obviously missing how to pull the correct url for my video from the root.
please advise, i finally have some time to do this today.

thanks in advance...

best,
roger

Hello,

Put the video in your root directory. Then you need to add the address of your server with the file path. So for example:

Code:
http://www.shape5.com/video.mp4

If we had a file in our root directory of our site called video.mp4 when you type that link above it it would load the video in the browser. That is the URL you would enter in the Template Manager input field.
