Hi!

I fallow every steps from the video that show us how to install the site shaper, but in the end it appear this message "The following themes are installed but incomplete. The topics should have a style sheet and a model."

Then, I install everything again, new database, and upload the "SiteShaper_Shape5_BlueGroup_WP" files to the "Shape5_Bluegroup_WP" directory and overwrite some files like images (for example), but nothing changes.

Add to this when I activate the "S5 Quick Contact", appears this line "C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\wp-includes\pomo\translations.php on line 85".

Can you help me to create a site like the demo of blue group?

T[/img]hanks!

You may have more success in following the shaper instructions on the Wordpress FAQ; the video was recorded before the framework was created, and both WP and the shapers have changed since then.  I have unfortunately not had time to create a new video yet.

If you are having to activate any plugins after installing the shaper, the shaper isn't being installed correctly.  If installed correctly, the site will have all demo content immediately on completion of the install, including all plugins being activated.

Thanks for the info, but as i told  "Then, I install everything again, new database, and upload the "SiteShaper_Shape5_BlueGroup_WP" files to the "Shape5_Bluegroup_WP" directory and overwrite some files like images (for example), but nothing changes."

I'm using xamp, and my question is: Whats the zip file that i have to copy, the shape or the wp?

As explained in the Wordpress FAQ:

  • Download the Shaper .zip file
  • Create a new database for your installation.
  • Extract the shaper .zip to a folder on your computer
  • Upload the extracted files to your server via FTP
    • Download Filezilla (Client)
    • Install Filezilla
    • Connect to your server in Filezilla
    • Navigate in Filezilla to the folder on your server where you would like your site to be located
    • Drag the files from your computer into Filezilla and drop them in the server folder you have open
  • Navigate to your site in your browser
  • Follow the steps of the installer, entering your database information when prompted.
NOTE:  To install the sample data for the shaper, make sure you check the "Install Sample Data" option when prompted
(This option only appears in older releases - The newer ones automatically install the sample data)
  • Update WP and all Plugins
  • Enjoy your new site!

From what you're saying, it sounds like you're installing the shaper into the theme folder, which is incorrect.  A shaper is a fresh install of WP and includes WP, all plugins, and the theme; you should be uploading the contents of the shaper .zip file into the root of the directory that you want your WP installation located in.

If you are using WAMP/XAMPP/LAMPP, you need to extract the shaper to the "www" folder of your localhost, or if you're installing it in a "localhost/wordpress" folder, the "www/wordpress" folder would be where it needs to be extracted/copied.

Hi there!

It works!

I don't know how to chage the photos of the site shaper. For example i go to the widgets (see photo attached) (S5 images and content fader)and change the name of the photo, then i copy and past the file to which folder? C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress\images or C:\xampp\htdocs\images, because i try both and nothing happens. Do i need to do something else?

On the "amazing team members" that happens again. I don't know how to chage the photos <img src="[demourl]/images/man1.jpg" alt="man1" class="s5_roundedimage"/>

Thanks!

You can use any URL you want for the images.  The [demourl] shortcode is used specifically for demo content in order to allow me to use the same images for the WP demo as are used on the Joomla demo, to save space on the server.  You can replace it with the [siteurl] shortcode, and it will automatically fill in the root URL of your site.  Using either the [demourl] or [siteurl] shortcode will return the root URL of your site; if your site is in /wordpress/ then [siteurl]/images/something.png would be pointing to /wordpress/images/something.png.

Without access to view your site, I can't see what's going wrong.  I suggest inspecting the image with Firebug, it will tell you what URL it's trying to use, and that should give you an idea why it's not loading.

Hi!

The problem was the path. To solve it I upload the images to the library and then copy the path (http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/man1.png)and past it on Amazing team members "img src="http://localhost/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/man1.png" alt="man1" class="s5_roundedimage"/>

But the problem with the S5 image and Content.. at top (custom 1) remains. I paste the correct path and the photos do not appear. It has a white background (See file attached), that I suspect is blocking the photo. Even the second image that has the oring path "[demourl]/images/iacf2.jpg", it's white, and it should be with the samples images.

See file attached.

How can I solve this?

Thanks!
