Hi there,

How can I add a menu to the login position? I did a test with some random text but the Login word would still be there and the text in question would not show.

thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to do.  Are you trying to replace the login button with a menu?  That is not how it is intended to function.  The button is only a link; it can either open the position as an overlay, or it can be set to open a specific URL in the theme options.

Hi there,

I want indeed to use the login position for a small menu. What would be my best bet?   Can I create a child theme with your theme? I tried to do that with a Joomla site and it did not quite work.

The framework isn't really built to fully support using child themes, as almost all customization can be done through the theme options and/or using all the different widget positions to show/hide sections of the layout as needed.

Is there a reason you want to put a menu in place of the login and register buttons, rather than just adding items to the main menu?

Hi there,

Just because my client wants it. It is a different type of information and they want to separate it from the main info.

The only thing I can suggest is to rename the login and register buttons and point them at static URLs.  This can be done in the theme options at the bottom of the "General" tab.  Anything more than that would require custom coding, which isn't covered by support.
