I am missing the Shape5 Option from the navigation bar on the left. I am experiencing this for the second time with two different themes. Can you please help me to bring it back. This is so frustrating! The url is http://business.referrizer.com

You are the only person who has had this issue, so it is most likely caused by either a plugin you are using, a browser extension, or a server setting.

I don't know what to tell you except to follow the same troubleshooting process as the last time we attempted to solve the problem.

The best way to figure out what is happening it would be to pay close attention to everything you do when setting up a site, and watch for when the problem starts; whatever you did just before the problem started is most likely what caused it.

Ok, if it happened to me, it will happen to somebody else as well. I installed only common plugins. This is not related to plugins but something else, maybe Wordpress update. Please help me to solve this issue, I need this option back. I uploaded the backup of this website to my own server and compared plugins. I have some plugins installed on the live site and on my test server but the live site is missing the Shape5 Option. I had this issue with completely different theme and on completely different server so there must be something wrong with the Shape5 Wordpress themes. Anyway, even if I did something wrong I would like to bring it back. There must be some way to bring this option back. Can I provide you with the login credentials so you can take a look? Please!!!
Thanking you in advance!

I just checked again, I used only few, common plugins such as Limit Login Attempts. Postman SMTP,  WP Fastest Cache, Ninja Popups,  Yoast SEO. Nothing unusual or from untrusted source. Can you please talk to the developers and ask them if there is any way to bring this option back. I talked to some Wordpress developers and nobody has evey had this issue. So strange!

Any of those plugins could cause a conflict with the method that adds the menu item - it doesn't have to be an "untrusted" plugin to cause conflicts.

I am in the process of preparing a couple new releases for launch, so I won't be able to look at the code on your site today, but if you PM me FTP and WP-login access details before the end of the day, I'll take tomorrow morning to dedicate as much time as I can to figuring out your site.  I can't make any promises though; as I said, you are the only person to have this issue, and you've even confirmed that no other WP developers have ever had this problem.  If it's something related to your host or the specific combination of plugins/settings you have, then there may be nothing I can do, but I'll do everything I can.

Thank you very much. I will provide you with the passwords for my test server where I have the Shape5 Option and the passwords for the live site where this option is missing. The backup on my server is 2 months old but contains the same setup and the same plugins as on the live server. I am not in the rush I just need to solve this!

I am not sure what changes you have done in my website but now I have two more problems. Please fix it immediately. I attached two images to illustrate the problems!
The second problem related to Demo page is more urgent. To fix the first problem I had to uninstall the Ninja popup plugin.

The errors should only appear to logged-in users; it is a custom script that shows me what is causing errors on a site if I'm logged in to it.  It has been removed.  It shouldn't have been running at all, because I re-disabled WP_DEBUG when I got done looking at your site yesterday, but I guess the errors from Ninja Popup were just too much for it to ignore.

There is nothing wrong with the code, it's actually identical to your test site where the menu item is still showing.  There must be something different about the live site that is causing the problem, but I have no way of knowing what it is.  Even if the server itself is different from the one you had this problem on before, if it's hosted with the same company, there's a good possibility that they have a setting on your servers that is causing the problem.  I have been unable to duplicate the problem on any of my test servers, and as I already said, it's the exact same code between both of your sites, even though one is fine and the other has the problem, so it's definitely not a code issue in the theme.

Without more information about what specifically is conflicting or causing the problem, there's nothing more I can do to fix it and/or prevent it.

As per the Shape 5 Terms of Use, there is no guarantee of third-party compatibility; and as it is definitely either a server setting or third-party code, trying to find the conflict is not covered by support.    However, if you can figure out exactly what is conflicting, I may at least be able to take a look at it; I just need to know where to look.

I am not sure where to go from here? I mean, if I restore the website and redo the changes I made in the last month or two, how do I know this will not happen again?  I have many backups, even the fresh ones from the 2 or 3 days behind, but these backups lack for this option too. I am not sure when I lost this link and this is what makes everything more dificult. Now I need to upload all my backups and check each of them for the missing option! And finally, what if I loose the Shape5 Option again, due to the wrong server setup or bad plugin?
Please give me some advice on what to do? Do you think I should investigate the server settings?
Thanks for your answer in advance!

I found the problem - I had to remove this line from the wp-config.php file

define('DISALLOW_FILE_EDIT', true);

Sorry for giving you headache but I must say I am very thankful for your effort and help!

I am very happy that I finally found a solution!

Excellent!  So it was a site-specific problem after all.  I'll try to remember that, in case someone else has the same problem in the future.  Thanks for posting your solution!
