Hi guys,
When I enable S5 Image and Content Fader v3 in custom_1 module position, my frontpage disappears. I just can't figure out why. I know that my template settings are not configured to hide the home page so that's not it.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Hello,

Please post a url to where the problem occurs. If this is a fresh install be sure you have the entire Image and Content Fader module configured, you need at least two pictures and text for each of them. There is javascript in the template that aligns with the bottom of the IACF text, and then it fades in. So that must be there for it to work properly.

Hello,

You shouldn't be using actual size with a responsive site, that will cause layout problems and will not look good on wide screens.

It doesn't appear that you have text setup for each slide. Like I said above you must have text setup for each slide. You can set this up from under the Text/HTML setting of the module's backend.

That's confusing since the IACF has settings to disable both the slide text and slide title???
This is the first I'm hearing that you must have text with the images in IACF.

OK so I've added dummy text to both my images and have it configured to width 100% stretch to fit.
The only way I could get the images to also appear with the text, is to actually DISABLE the images (see screen.jpg) - so something is definitely wrong.

I've got full screen height disabled and the height set to 300px but as you can see my images are massive! (see screen2.jpg)

I think there's a bug with this template and IACF.

Hello,

I stated in my first post that you should have the text on. The body aligns itself with this text via javascript. Without the text it has nowhere to position itself with.

I did just update the template's index.php file so you don't have to have text. If no text is present it aligns itself over top of the image still, but uses a percentage of the image's height for placement.

It looks like the label for enabling or disabling the images was just reversed by accident in the last update. I have updated the module to correct this. You just need to download a fresh copy of the module and upload it's xml file to your server and then adjust the setting in the backend.

The images are supposed to be that large; that is the design of this template. Enabling the full screen method is not what is causing this, stretch to fit forces the images to be 100% in width and images must stay in aspect ratio so the height is automatic. When you have a 100% width image, the height will also be large to keep the aspect ratio. The tooltips in the backend of the module explain in detail how the height parameter works if you need further explanation.

Having the module set as small as you had it will cause several problems: 1. A fixed height and width will not work with responsive layouts, and should only ever be used on non-responsive sites. 2. The body overlays the image and content fader, the size you had the module set to left almost no room for this to happen, and would overlay the majority of your image.

If you want a small image and content fader, I would suggest publishing it to top_row2_1 instead of custom_1. Custom_1 is meant to cover the entire area as you have it setup now and how it shows on the demo. Publishing it to a top row will constrain the size to the body restrictions and nothing will overlay on top of it.
