At http://niagaravineyardview.com/ I have the S5 Tab Show Top published to middle_bottom_1 and the home menu item set to publish front page articles but I cannot get it to appear.

I sure wish this part of your templates was a lot simpler...

Hello,

Make sure you have the homepage set to show articles. That setting is found under Main / Layout / Hide Component Output?

Make sure your home link is unchecked from that last, articles are very often hidden on the homepage. You can use your Ctrl button to select and deselect items in the list.

Hello,

It is in the middle of the page in between the right and left columns, below the above body position settings. Make sure you are running Vertex 4, if you are on Vertex 3 it is under the General tab.

Sorry, I am lost. The only reference to frontpage content is as you see in the screen shot attached.

As you can see, Home is not selected.

Hello,

You are running Vertex3, I would recommend upgrading to Vertex4, this feature is easier to find and use in 4. If you want to stay with 3, the same option is the "Would you like the content area shown on the frontpage?" Scroll through the entire list, sometimes there are multiple "Home" links depending on how you have your menus setup. That is the only feature would prevent articles from showing on the homepage.

Hello,

This was an issue with the settings of the menu item, not the template settings. A featured article menu item will only show items set to featured in the article manager. On top of that you can also set the menu item to only show featured articles from a specific category. You did not have any articles set to featured so none would show, you also had the menu item set to only show articles from the "frontpage" category.

I set your article to featured and removed the "frontpage" category restriction and the article now shows.

Another way you can do this is change your menu to a blog layout and have it pull from the "frontpage" category. That will only pull articles from that category, where the current featured setup will pull from all articles set as featured from any category.
