Did install, got one error on a file not being moved to the language directory. Uninstalled, fixed the privs on the directory and successfully reinstalled. However when I select the new_vision as the default (See "Default style successfully set" msg) and view the site I still see the default prostar template. I have not assigned the menus to the template ( how?) and I have not yet installed the  flex menu plug in. I's assuming I don;t need those just to see the template.

Hello,

You should install the flex menu plugin. I have just tested this template with a fresh install running the latest version of Joomla and it is showing with no issues. This issue is most likely caused by a third party extension interfering, I would recommend disabling all third party extensions to see if one is interfering.

Update: This is a new Joomla 3.x install with only the default templates installed, plus a template from Joomlashack (js_studio).  I disabled all of the unused templates in Extensions:Manage, made New Vision default and now the template shows up on the site.   Don't quite understand what is going on but it seems to work.  Also installed the flex menus this evening. Can you point me to some docs on the flex menus capabilities and how to implement?

Also do I need to assign menus to this templates like the other templates? I didn't see a way to do that and the menus seem to work.

TIA.

Hello,

A flex menu tutorial is found here:

http://www.shape5.com/documentation/Vertex-Framework/Joomla-Specific/Joomla-Flex-menu

You can control the menu options under Main / Menu in the configuration.
