Hi, I'm building a website using the Eventfull template. When I open the mobile sidebar menu in both Chrome and Safari on my iPhone 5s, I'm having an issue (it works fine on my desktop computer).

The menu slides in from the side correctly causing the main content to slide off to the right. But then, the main content suddenly jumps behind the sidebar menu. I've attached an image. You'll see the sidebar menu with white space to the right of it where the main content should be.

Thoughts? Thanks for your time!

Hello,

Can you please update Vertex with a fresh copy of the patch? This should be fixed in the latest patch as we had noticed this before too.

Thanks,

Beautiful. That worked. I wasn't sure that would work because my template already said it was running Vertex 4 and had the latest version. But overwriting the files with the fresh download fixed it. Thanks Jonah!

I'm having a similar issue again with the mobile menu. On my phone, if I click the menu button, the mobile menu appears correctly. But once the menu is open, I can swipe the page back over the mobile menu while the menu bar stays at the top. Please see attachment. Thoughts? I'm running vertex 4.1.0.

Any ideas? I have two sites with this issue. A live site running Vertex 4.0.0 (http://sovh.co/carenetmso) and the one running Vertex 4.1.0 that I'm building. Both use the Eventfull template.

Thanks for the site URL. I do see the issue and it appears its because of the fixed floating menu option. When enabled and you don't click the little menu icon and try to slide instead this will happen. Just disable the floating menu option for mobile and then this won't happen.

Hi, thanks Jonah, unfortunately it is still happening for me even with the floating mobile menu disabled. If I grab from the white header section and pull to the left I can still slide it over but then it won't scroll the page anymore. Would you mind looking at it again http://sovh.co/carenetmso? Thanks so much for your time.

It's been a few days and I haven't heard anything so I wanted to check. Have you had a chance to look at it? Thanks again.

Ah yes I do see what you mean. Its because mobile isn't meant to be slid over like that. You'll notice that when you can't scroll the page just click on the menu icon again (its then closing the sidebar). When you slide it over without clicking the menu icon the code isn't registering it and thus it still thinks the off canvas menu is open. I'll talk this over internally we might be able to add some on finger slide code into Vertex for mobile.

Ok I've added this update to the Vertex patch. Just grab a fresh copy and overwrite your current files and it should then work.

Thank you! It's working like a charm with Safari on my iPhone, but it isn't quite working in Chrome on iPhone. It only works occasionally and the rest of the time it's still getting stuck. Thoughts?

Ok I'll check this but what do you mean by getting stuck? It slides over and doesn't slide back? Does it slide at all?

I can slide it back and forth, but sometimes when I slide the menu closed, it does the same thing it did before where I can't scroll the page. Thanks again for looking at this.
