I've got a white gap at the bottom of this page above the footer.  I'm trying to take it live and need help PLEASE.

Hello,

That is your component and article area. You can hide this on any page under the Main / Layout tab in the template configuration. There is a hide component setting in the middle of the page.

Can you help me with the specific section?  I can't seem to turn off that section.

Hello,

Can you please be more specific? If you are on the area that I mentioned above you can turn this area off for any item that you select from the menu list. The setting is right in the middle of the page and it's called "Hide Component Output?". You would select your home menu item from that list, to indicate you want it hidden on that page.
