Hi Team,

I have downloaded the Samba Spa theme from Feb 2016, followed the instructions on "How To Install A WordPress Site Shaper" by copying and overwriting my copy of WordPress previously installed with Softaculous and I get the below failure message when I'm trying to reach my website. I can't go to wp-admin to update Worpdress.

Code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ',', expecting '(' in /home/graziel3/public_html/wp-includes/comment.php on line 2303

Could you have a look at the comment.php file in SiteShaper_Shape5_Samba_Spa_WP.zip and let me know if you can re-produce the problem?

My hosting company (Siteground.com) had a look and they found this set of unrecognized characters in the PHP file: awesomescreenshot.com/0ce5qozh8f
As they couldn't go further than that I asked them if they could try and force a manual update of Wordpress which they did but I still get the following error message in my browser:

Code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '}' in /home/graziel3/public_html/wp-includes/comment.php on line 2311

Before I copied your files over I was on Wordpress version 4.4.2 and my url is https://www.massagebygraziele.com

That screenshot would appear to indicate that some of the files were corrupted during the upload process.  When using FTP, it is best to make sure that the FTP client is set to transfer in Binary mode.  The default mode that most FTP clients use (including when "auto" is selected) is ASCII mode, which transfers the "text" inside the files, rather than the actual files; this can cause code corruption, as information can get lost during the transfer (as indicated by your screenshot).

I recommend re-uploading the files and making sure that your FTP client (I recommend FileZilla) is set to binary mode.

Thank you, after a few attemps at re-downloading the zip file, re-extracting and re-uploading I got it to work properly (with binary transfer).

Could you please confirm that with the Site Shaper enabled and now working I do not need to worry about the zip file of the theme (e.g. the site shaper already contains the theme) and I only now need to upload the right pictures I want for my site?

Yes, the Shaper includes the theme, and all plugins used on the demo.
