Hello,

I'm not sure what you mean, the Lato font is pulling from Google fonts so however it appears in Google fonts is how it will show on your site. The template doesn't control how the font shows as we just are using a Google script to show the fonts. It should look the same as shown here:
https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Lato

The read more is located in the language file, it can be found here:

language\en-GB\en-GB.mod_s5_news_display_2.ini

MOD_ARTICLES_NEWS_READMORE="Read more..."

I'm not sure what you mean by editing the lato font. But overriding would require custom coding to do so. I can let you know where the font is called if you need help finding that.

I have 2 requests:

1st: I want to add lato (exist in Google to my vertex fonts so, I can pick it)

2nd: is to edit Read more of the news module (MOD_ARTICLES_NEWS_READMORE="Read more...")
because I can not find it via language tab search in joomla! However, I can find the file you've mentioned in the FTP!

1st = Please see my response here http://www.shape5.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,75/topic,43640.new/#new

2nd = You would need to create an ini file from the file here for your specific language:
language\en-GB\en-GB.mod_s5_news_display_2.ini

Its in the "en-GB" folder but you'll see other folders there if you have multiple languages installed. You'll need to copy into this folders and then edit this .ini file
