Hello,

None of that code in the error message is actually part of the template. It is either being inserted by an extension or something has maliciously inserted it. You can try replacing the template's index.php file with the one attached which is a fresh copy, make a backup of your existing one first though.

Hello,

You would need to connect with your server via ftp. Each host a little different, so your host should have instructions on how to connect with an ftp client, such as filezilla. Your host may also have a file manager in the admin section of your account on their server. You would copy the index.php file to your local machine as a backup and then upload the copy I attached.

The code you pasted looks very suspicious to me. Have you kept your Joomla install and extensions up to date on version updates for security?

Hello,

If you haven't updated your Joomla in a while you have left your site open to hacks due to out dated security. I don't know what version of Joomla you are running, but in the more recent versions of Joomla you can update Joomla from Components/Joomla Update. However, if your site has already been hacked simply updating the site will not change much, you would need to clean the entire site or ask your host to restore it to a backup from an earlier date before upgrading.

You can also find updates directly from joomla.org. You would have to contact any third party extensions you are using to see if they have updates and what the procedure is in updating their products.
