I installed site shaper manually as per instructions, but it looks like an unfinished site under serious construction, not what I had in mind. What is wrong?. I picked this theme so I would have to do nearly nothing to it as it is seems far to complicated to get started unless your a theme designer. How do I change the pick color to a nice green instead of this pink color? Green like my Logo. I thought there would be a selecter to change the colors. If there is a selector I haven't found it yet.

Can you provide a link to your site so I can see what you mean by "unfinished"?  The images used on the demo are stock images that are only licensed for use by Shape5, and are not included in the Shaper, but all other content is included.

The highlight color for the theme can be found in the theme options under the "Shape 5 Theme" menu item in the admin, and is located on the "Specific" tab.  The theme options cover the majority of the customization that can be done, and anything else is handled by content, primarily with widgets.

It looks like the shaper didn't install correctly on your site.  If you can PM me FTP access and WP login details, I'll reinstall the shaper for you and make sure everything's working correctly.

ojh.ca , i can't upload my logo. I tried the recommended method (widget text) and the upload image. No Luck. It should be simple, why is it not?

I can't upload my logo.....

The other thing is I can't see how you start a new post as this is why I'm replying to a post that has no relation to the topic. Please tell me how to post. Why isn't there a big huge button that says post?? I'm going to be 2 years in trying to get through this if things aren't easy. I have been using word press before but for some reason your templates and forum are not so simple

In this post I am referring to the contractor theme, uploading a logo to the url: OJH.CA

i made the logo exactly the same size as your s5_logo.png then uploaded it to the same dir as your s5_logo folder, but no luck.

One other thing, what size do I make my main page graphics? (referring to the pictures that are on your demo that I have no access to) ... I can t see the demo ones. Also where are the sizes of all the other background photos/videos of the tools etc that make this theme come alive?

It would be nice to have a chart that says, home page slider pics: 1,2,3, 1000px wide by 800px tall...etc and the same for pages. That way I can cut to the chase instead of searching and guessing at the sizes. Are the JPG? or PNG?

Thanks,

Len

Creating a new topic on the forum is as easy as navigating to the board where you want to post, then using the "New Topic" button at the top right or bottom right of the posts list.

The General Contractor demo uses the widget method for the logo; there is a text widget in the "Logo" position with the code that was used.  For that demo, the logo was all code, no images at all; just an ionicon for the hammer, and custom HTML for the text.

As for the other images on the site, all sample image placeholders are located in the "images" folder at the root of the site (next to wp-content, wp-includes, etc).  Background images will be defined in the theme options under either the Specific tab, or Main->Layout.  Most other images are widgets, you can find out what positions they are in by adding ?tp=3 to the end of your site URL (Like This).  Once you find the individual widgets, you'll be able to see the names of the image files, and that will let you find them in the images folder for reference of each size.
