When viewing my site without SSL, the map displays properly.  However when I enable SSL for entire site from the backend, it ceases to function.
We need SSL for our entire site, so I'm wondering if there is a fix or something else I'm missing.

We're using the Health Guide template and module is published to its original position.  All I changed was the address info and added the API key (by installing the new module version).

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

That would be an issue with your ssl cert, it is most likely viewing the calls to google's servers as external content and blocking it since it's not called from your domain. The extension itself cannot change that, it's all controlled through your ssl cert. Your host may be able to set it to allow specific external content.

I reissued a key from the Google API manager, and also removed the limitation that only allowed access from my domain.  This does explain what was going on, since if I want to re-implement the limitation, I may need to add my SSL issuer's domain as well.

It's working great now.  Thanks for the help!

Hi There,

I have the exact same trouble for the S5MapIT for iframe. I have SSL enabled for my domains and the Google MAP does not display at all.
If I turn off the SSL it displays again.
I have asked my host provider for a SSL work-waround but they only reply that:

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://....' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS to be shown. Please change the URL and you should be able to see the content again Smiley

Can you help on this? Thanks

Hello,

Yes the iframe version doesn't work anymore. Things have changed and now iframes are blocked from domains so its no longer possible to do this.

Its not an SSL issue, its that now in the web world iframes are blocked. Google itself is blocked loading their content in an iframe
