Hi

http://pbc-dev-2.perthbluesclub.com/

I am on the final few days of re-development of this site and was just going through to make sure everything is OK when I noticed that the menu no longer floats when I scroll down and also there's no sub items showing when I roll over the parent menu items.
I have set up site access under Mike's name and will PM him the details.
Could you please check to see if there are any problems with compatibility or if something is clashing.
I have been working on this site for a couple of months, upgrading it from an old J1.5 site. It's been a struggle but it was looking good with all the functionality etc.
If I can get some help with this menu problem I can notify the committee that it's finally ready to go.

Warm Regards, David

Hey David,

Would you be able to PM them to me? I actually moderate this template and I can take a look for you

Hi Jonah

I've PM'd the access credentials for http://pbc-dev-2.perthbluesclub.com/.

The two main issues are:

  • Menu doesn't float, even though it is set to do so
  • Sub menu items no longer show, even though they are set to show all

Hi Jonah

I checked my messages but although it's listed, when I click on the subject, only the first two messages from Mike from way back show. There is nothing showing from you.

That's odd. Here is the message I had sent:

Thanks for the logins. So I did take a look and there must be a JavaScript conflict of some sort. I'm not seeing an error but it not showing and the menu not floating indicates a JS issue. I suggest disabling all 3rd party plugins and modules on the site so its just Joomla and Shape5 extensions. Then see if it works. If it does just one by one re-enabled and see which one its breaking on.

I checked to see that Vortex is version 4 as per an earlier post by someone else, but it didn't work for me.

We sometimes do updates without making a full version number update. I would try installing a fresh patch unless you are saying you already did that.

Hi Jonah

Thanks for the reply.
I went through all the plugins/modules and found the culprit - It was a plugin called JU-ToC (a replacement for the Joomla standard ToC). I un-installed it and all is fine now.

Thanks again for the excellent support.
