Hi,

It was a fresh template, ("general contractor" current, no siteshaper) maybe it is better to update al downloads so users don't have to update themselves and avoid these kind of errors. Went back to the previous version now. These kind errors only cost precious time.

Kind regards

Hello,

The Vertex update wouldn't effect the template's xml file, (templateDetails.xml), so I'm not sure how this would have happened. My assumption is that maybe not all the files were uploaded in the correct location or there is a permissions problem on the server. If you are able to, I would suggest extracting the files directly on the server itself with cpanel's file manager, rather than uploading them. That will prevent permissions issues.

It is direct on my local server using MAMP pro. Tried it 3 times. I will grab a new file (patch) and try again Mike.

I had tried the above template (no site shaper) and used the patch and it worked fine for me. I'm not sure how this could happen either, strange.

Done it both ways; extracted zip files via ftp or uploaded zip and extracting it from cPanel. Nothing works for me.
How can we check that permissions is not an obstruct during cPanel extraction?

Hello,

I patched your site as the tutorial explains via ftp, and that error does not show on your site and the site is updated to 4.1 running with no issues.

Thank you very much. What may have been supposedly the problem? The only thing I can think of is that I uploaded all the files at once instead each folder at a time (only this worked for me when I wanted to restore the 4.0.0 version)

Also, why the zoom is different than the demo http://www.shape5.com/demo/index.php?design_control?

Hello,

I don't know how you applied the files, so I can't really say. I applied them all at once via ftp exactly as we instruct in the tutorial and it worked as expected.

I don't know what you are referring to with the zoom settings. It looks like the same as the demo, I would suggest checking on another browser.

I am having the same issue with the Template XML file not found error after the Vertex update. I uploaded the files via FTP twice and got the same error.
