I signed up mainly to use this template, and need to know if you are going to be updating it.

Hello,
The template should be on the latest version of Vertex version 4.1 and as for Joomla yes it works with Joomla 3.7. The Site Shaper is on an older version but all you need to do is go to components > Joomla update and click the install update button and it'll update the site to Joomla 3.7. We don't update Joomla versions for the Site Shapers as new versions are constantly coming out and to update its just a one button click to do so. We do make sure the templates themselves work on the latest versions and there are no issues with our Vertex framework.

Hi, I tried updating to Joomla 3.7.1 with General Contractor as default template. The menu is not showing properly now. I don't want to update the live site until I fix this on the localhost. Help please?

Hello,
Did you install the latest Vertex patch? This needs to be installed and your template updated in order for it to work with Joomla 3.7

I found the Vertex patch, unzipped the files, copied to the root folder of General Contractor. The whole website is not showing. It says Template XML file not found. Help please?

I am having the same exact problem with this template.
I had installed the SiteShaper version, updated the Vertex via FTP (even tried the Shape5 Vertex Updater) and the template still doesn't work correctly ... showing that it still using Vertex 4.1.
What did you end up doing to resolve this issue?

If you give me Joomla login details to your site (just PM me them). I can get this updated for you.

I just resolved the matter by writing over the entire SiteShaper template version with the current version of General Contractor.
I was able to update to Vertex 4.2 via FTP ... and the Shape5 Vertex Framework Updater also shows that it was updated (which was not the case before).
Peace.
