I recently updated my Joomla to 3.7.2. Now, when I create an article and link to it, all other modules that are linked to that Category are displayed under that article. Is this a known issue? How can I resolve this? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello,

A template doesn't control any part of the module assignments, that is entirely controlled by Joomla. What you've described is typical behavior of Joomla, and it has been that way since Joomla 1.6. Modules are assigned to specific menu items, not individual articles. So a module's assignment will take on the assignments given to the menu item that points to the article's category.
