Author Topic: Not able to see the Template settings in Joomla 3.7.2  (Read 1406 times)

Hello there,

After the last couple Joomla updates I am no longer able to access the Corpway template settings interface. I tried going to Extensions -> Templates -> Templates , then clicked on the Corpway Details and Files and that gave me access to the various template files and folders but not to the friendly user interface that was available before where I could set the template how I wanted it.

I am currently on Joomla 3.7.2 could you please advise how to proceed as I am currently unable to make any changes to the template layout etc.

Hello,

Please be sure your site is running the latest version of Vertex. Also, if your server is running CloudFlare make sure it's not running the administrator portion of your site.

Hello, thank you for your reply - I have uploaded the folder with the patch into the root folder of the Corpway template as per instructions, however am not able to complete the last step of the instructions:

"In the backend of Joomla go to Extensions/Template Manager and then open your templates configuration link. Save any changes that you wish and the upgrade is complete!"


The back end of Joomla does not have a "Template Manager" menu option, the only options are:

Extensions => Templates => Templates or
Extensions => Templates => Styles

I tried going into both menu options but nothing is different to what it was before, i.e. i still have the same issue that I can't see the interface for the theme modifications.

I also checked with Siteground where my site is hosted and they confirmed that CloudFlare is not being used

Any other guidance would be much appreciated, thank you

Do you have any third party extensions enabled in the backend? If so, please try disabling all of them to see if one of those is interfering.

Also, just to confirm this template has been fully tested in 3.7.2 and Vertex 4.1 and works with no issues, so this is something unique to your setup.

Do you have any third party extensions enabled in the backend? If so, please try disabling all of them to see if one of those is interfering.

Also, just to confirm this template has been fully tested in 3.7.2 and Vertex 4.1 and works with no issues, so this is something unique to your setup.

I'm also using SiteGround and attempted the update, but experience the same issue  - where the template config screen does not have any of the UI it normally has and there is no option to save changes to complete the update. This seems to be separate from the Vertex issue, but in order to fully fix the Vertex issue, this must be resolved first.

Cloudfare is not being used. SuperCacher was, but I've since disabled and flushed the cache and seen no changes.

Only extensions are a couple text editors (JCE and JCK), RSForm Pro, and JEvents.

It seems like the configuration file is missing from the Joomla update or it is mis-referenced?

Hi Mikek,

I have gone through every single third party extension and disabled it one by one to check if any of them interfere but it has not made any difference and I am still not able to see the corpway template interface. Perhaps in my case something did not "patch through" correctly either? I would very much appreciate if you could take a look. I have attached the screenshot of what I am seeing so that it's clear
