I have the Forte siteshaper installed on a localhost windows box behind my firewall running the Windows Web Platform Installer.  When I try and access the site from a computer outside of the localhost box it appears the CSS file does not load.  Also, when the site is access from the localhost and remote computers it loads very slow.  I have recently switched to Wordpress.  Any help would be appreciated.

WordPress stores the URL of the site to the database during the install process and then references that stored URL to access CSS, javascript, and any other external files that are loaded on the front end.  If you installed it to "localhost", then accessing the site from another computer on your network will not work correctly, as the site will still be trying to access those files relative to the "localhost" URL, and won't be able to find them.  This could also be related to the load time issues you are having.

I recommend re-running the install, either using the network IP of the computer that is hosting the site, or by setting up a hostfile alias that makes the site think you're accessing it from the URL that it will eventually be located on.

[Note: I am moving this topic to the correct board; please remember in the future to post theme/plugin specific questions to the board created specifically for the theme/plugin you are asking about.]

I'm so sorry I tried to look for the right place for the topic.  I must have missed the location.

Wow I can't believe I didn't think of the host file.  Thank you for your help.

I'm glad I was able to help.  If that's all you needed, I'll go ahead and lock this thread.
