At http://awdtest3.com/ when I hover over a menu item and a submenu appears, it does not disappear when I scroll down the page.

I think I have solved this by altering the "Hide Delay" setting in the template manager to zero but wanted to confirm that this is correct.

Someone started to address this in this post but there was no resolution

Thanks,

Hello,

Yes this happens on all our templates if you hover and then quick scroll down the page as fast as you can. If you set the hide delay too long then yes it will be more visible but a quicker hide time and it shouldn't be an issue for users. I don't believe normal use of a website would cause a user to hover and the scroll as fast as he/she can down.

I agree. It's just when one inadvertently floats the mouse over the menu and then scrolls the page with the wheel at the time.

Thanks,

I altered the hide delay but when a user places the mouse over the parent menu item (i.e. Contact Us) and you scroll down, the submenu travels down the page regardless of the hide setting.

Is there a way to eliminate the delay altogether when the page scrolls down?

Did you try setting the hide delay to 0? Also you can try changing the effect from fade to snap. I believe that should remove the JavaScript effects.

I did but it doesn't change the effect.

I notice in one of my other sites http://stevenbrates.ca that the menu does not create this situation in the business line template.  When one hovers over a submenu item such as Meet Steven Brates under About Us, when I scroll down the page, the submenu item does not travel with the mouse.

Are there settings there that could be used?

It looks like because the floating menu isn't enable or starting by the time you scroll to the bottom of http://stevenbrates.ca
