Hello,

That's because you have no menu item pointing to the category of those articles. That is the default way Joomla behaves - if an article has not menu item associated to it the page will take on the layout of the parent page (the homepage). You need to create a menu item that points to the articles' category and on that new menu item don't publish any modules. By not doing that Joomla has not module assignment or page layout for that page.

Hello,

If the menu item is pointing to the category that contains the articles and there are no modules published to that menu item it will not show the homepage. Make sure your modules are not published to all pages.

Hello,

I did give instructions above, is there a step you are confused with? You need to create a menu item that is a category menu item and point it to the category of the articles that show in masonry. And then make sure that no modules are published on that new menu item by checking the menu assignments of each module. If you have not done that you are not giving Joomla a page layout for that page the articles show on; this is how Joomla handles articles.
